A field guide to your next question

Start curious.

A clear question. Research you can check. A decision with a reason. Here is how to make Brevoir part of your work.

In this guide

Start with your investment thesis

Your thesis gives the research a direction. Add the sectors, stages, geographies and constraints that matter to you. Save criteria you can return to when a new company crosses your desk.

A starting question

“What does this company actually do, and how does it fit our thesis?”

Start with a company name or website. If the name could mean several businesses, Brevoir asks which one you mean. A company’s fit describes its match to your saved criteria. It is not an investment recommendation.

Explore company discovery

Read it. Check it. Keep it.

Ask Brevoir for a company brief. It brings the business into view with citations you can open. Before you rely on a finding, follow it back to the evidence.

Open the citation
See the quoted words and when Brevoir read the page. Keep a company’s own statement distinct from an independently established fact.
Keep your next question
Add notes and return to saved work as your understanding develops.

Research has a credit price you see before it runs. Reading, notes and reopening saved work cost no research credits. See credit prices.

Make it your workspace

Keep your theses, notes and decisions together in a workspace. Work on your own, or bring colleagues into a team workspace with shared research capacity.

01 / Individual

A view of your own.

For the angel, scout or solo GP carrying a question from first look to decision.

For independent investors
02 / Together

A record for the firm.

Decisions, notes, lists and saved searches stay with the firm when a member leaves.

For investment teams

The workspace owner manages membership and billing. Team plans include seats and pool research credits across the workspace. See how seats work.

Record a decision

A pass should preserve what you thought, not just where you moved a company. Record the reason and keep it with the evidence as it stood at that time.

Leave yourself a way back

Say what would change your mind: a funding milestone, a launch, a metric or a date to take another look.

When a condition is met, compare the earlier reasoning with the new evidence. You choose whether to revisit the decision or keep it, with a reason. Brevoir never records that decision for you.

Common questions

Can I start for free?
Yes. Explore includes a workspace for one person, three research credits a month and fifteen credits once at sign-up. Compare plans.
What if there is little public information?
A company brief that finds almost nothing public returns its research credit. Use the work as a starting point for questions, and review important details before acting.
Does Brevoir decide for me?
No. It provides research. Your judgment and your investment decisions stay yours.
